ACCREDITATION
Since 1993 our team at Greenslade Business Consultants Ltd, hereafter 'GBC', has been a major supplier to the Police Service, Investigative Enforcement Skills Training and Local Authority Consultants Marketplace for over 15 years and we pride ourselves on a unique portfolio comprising a very diverse and wide ranging compendium of Courses, Business Management Tools and Consultative and Investigative Skills Packages which always proactively maintain their currency.
The Full Investigative Skills Training Programme, if undertaken in its complete form, has been accredited by the Open College Network since 1993.
However accreditation is both extremely costly and static, and does little or NOTHING to effectively evidence the currency of the standards to which any particular learners are taught, or that which they actually achieve.
Accreditation, it is maintained, leads to a similarity of structure that allows a given group of learners to be tested against an agreed published set of standards and thereafter measured against a straightforward matrix containing described particulars in the areas of of Knowledge, Understanding, Demonstration, Skill and Ability.
(Here at GBC we do this anyway as a matter of course, but with continuing flexibility, creativity and innovation.)
Accredited packages by their very 'design' run a very high risk of quickly becoming stale and outdated specifically because it can take so long for a particular programme, course or module to become 'accredited' that, like any law based text book, it is out of date from the moment it is published, if not before.
The training involved in Accredited Packages becomes staid, dry and clinical: "It's Day 2; turn to Page 7..."
It is certainly a fact that in the fast moving, ever changing world whose backdrop is that of English Criminal Law, every one of our programmes, modules and courses has greatly evolved, developed and positively changed since 2003, never mind 1993!
Given the often small numbers of learners who require such a highly specialised form of training on an annual basis, any client requirement/demand for 'Course Accreditation' inevitably means that the high costs of implementation are inevitably and immediately passed on to them. Accreditation is therefore neither cost/value effective for either the Client or the Provider.
There is surely nothing worse, more worthless or boring, than delegates having to grind and wade their way through training which was never attuned to their specifc environment and is clearly some dusty 'off the shelf' number, written in a 'one size fits all' manner.
Therefore GBC will remain keenly focussed in its commitment to provide First Class Facilitative Training (and Consultative) Services which are mainly bespoke and which, having been subjected to a rigorous and current Training Needs Analysis, exactly meet your organisation's own working and learning environments, ever mindful of budgetary constraints and the absolute necessity to provide exceptional value for money.
The GBC Certificate, for any and all training events, will outline the very specific details of delegate attendance and the standards achieved together with a detailed summary, on its obverse, outlining precisely what the particular delegate has both undergone and achieved.
Thus current and future or prospective employers can see exactly what they are getting for their money without the waters being muddied by accreditation standards which are insufficiently specific and/or well passed their 'Use By Date'.
Sorry, but here at GBC we do not do 'Tick The Box and Forget' Training. We enjoy many long established relationships with our existing clients and can assure exactly the same high quality of service to our new ones.
We can and will assist you if the 'horse has already bolted', but we would much rather work with you longer term to ensure that the 'horse is properly trained in the first place, the gate shuts quickly and automatically and then the horse double checks to ensure that he is still on the right side of it!'
We look forward to working with you!
